Panama City Real Estate | Mortgage update

The latest mortgage market update for the Panama City, Florida area has been posted for your convenience.

Here is a short summary:

Last week’s economic data continued to be mostly positive, but mortgage rates slid downwards. This
manufacturing-lead recovery continues to maintain its pace, with Industrial Production numbers
revealing solid gains for manufacturing and mining issues. While the housing and labor market will
likely be a major drag on the recovery for some time, retail sales did tick upward more than expected.
As economically positive as most of last week’s news was, inflation at the consumer level of the
economy is all but absent. This should enable the Fed to maintain its stance regarding low interest
rates for the foreseeable future.

Panama City Real Estate | Pet warning – Sago Palm

As the weather warms up and we find ourselves outside more with our children and pets, now is the time to consider some of the dangers that may be lurking in our yards.

One of these dangers that recently claimed the life of our own Brenda Rutherford’s beloved dog, Rip, was a nut from a Sago Palm, while the Rutherfords’ were out with Rip.

These ornamental shrub/palms look beautiful alongside drive ways and in potted plants, but pose a serious poison hazard to pets and children.

Panama City Beach homes for sale

For many years prior to entering the real estate market and purchasing my first home, I was a renter.

Weren’t most of us at one point or another?

During this time a friend of mine told me they had been house hunting for a new home and found a nice home they would be purchasing and invited me to their house warming party.

I began to think about this seriously – after all my friend didn’t make more money than I, nor did they have anything I didn’t have.

Panama City real estateThe latest postings of the Panama City real estate market summaries are now available for download.

Both Panama City Beach condo sales and prices were slightly higher this month.  However, single family home prices slipped slightly but sales volume increased significantly.  This will indicate the market has begun to turn.

As we enter the busiest real estate season as well as less than 60 days to the opening of new airport we expect to see significant increases in sales and prices for all property types.

Panama City real estate | The good and the not so good…

apathyWhen visiting real estate websites, often you may read all the wonderful customer testimonials provided by the real estate agent.

However, one thing I believe you will seldom read is the following…

I want to know about the not so good, as well as the good!!!

There’s an old saying in business… It’s takes month’s to find a customer,  but seconds to lose one!

At JenniferMackay.com of course my team and I want to hear about the good experiences our customers and visitors have, but we also want to hear about the not so good experiences.
