Panama City Apartments for rent | Tenant Wants and Needs

Here’s some interesting information for property owners.

If you’re wondering what potential tenants want in a rental unit…

Nationwide apartment rental firm ApartmentGuide.com says the majority of apartment seekers between June 2009 and June 2010 looked for apartments in the $500 to $700 price range, followed by $700 to $900.

Distance from the city center was also a factor, with the majority of apartment hunters seeking homes five miles form the city center, followed by 10 miles, then 20 miles.

These are the other top features that apartment seekers sought over the last 12 months:

Panama City Real Estate | Jennifer Mackay and Bloomberg Businessweek

As my readers know, Ive conducted interviews with quite a few news agencies, print and internet reporters as well as financial advisers in regards to the state of the Panama City real estate market.

Recently, I provided another interview for Bloomberg Businessweek: a very popular financial publication.

I hadn’t known the article was published until a new client contacted me and told me about it!

During the interview, I was very impressed not only of the knowledge and research they had done, but also their willingness to discuss the future prospects of the Panama City, Florida.

Panama City Real Estate | Market update July 2010 | Ouch

As my readers have come to expect, I pull no punches and tell it like it is.

It didn’t seem to matter that the Bay County area had little to no oil on the beach.  If anyone is in doubt as to whether the oil spill affected the Panama City real estate market, here is the proof…

Here then is the Panama City real estate market summary for July 2010 (it’s not good):

Panama City Beach real estatePanama City Beach condo sales decreased significantly while prices increased slightly a bit during July. Is it any wonder sales decreased?  We had an oil spill not far from us, and condo owners and real estate agents were trying to raise prices!

Panama City Real Estate | Congress Restores Rural Mortgage Help

Here’s the latest from NAR on the Rural Housing Program…

The restoration of the single-family rural housing program that would guarantee home loans for rural buyers was passed by the Senate today and is on its way to President Obama.
The National Association of REALTORS® has vigorously lobbied to restore funding for the rural program since last March, and hailed this development as a great victory for rural home buyers.
